If you’re not receiving notifications when Clara handles a call, try the following.
Check notification permissions
iPhone
- Go to Settings → Notifications → Clara
- Make sure Allow Notifications is enabled
- Check that Banners, Sounds, and Badges are all turned on
Android
- Go to Settings → Apps → Clara → Notifications
- Make sure notifications are enabled
- Check that Clara isn’t in the “silent” notification category
Check Do Not Disturb
If your phone is in Do Not Disturb mode, notifications may be silenced. Add Clara to your DND exceptions if you want to receive call alerts even when DND is on.
Battery optimisation (Android)
Some Android phones aggressively close background apps to save battery. Go to Settings → Battery → Clara and select Unrestricted or Don’t optimise.
Force close and reopen
If notifications have stopped suddenly, try force-closing the Clara app and reopening it. This can reset the notification connection.
